London is a city in
the south of England. Its name was Londinium in Romah times. In Romah
times 45.000 people lived there. The population is of about 7.5
milion now.
There are places in
London with the names of important people in history: Trafalgar
Square (Battle of Trafalgar), Victoria Street (Queen Victoria).
The people of London
are called Londoners, or “Cokneys”. Famous Londoners include:
Charle Chaplin and Arthur Conan Doyle. Charle Chaplin was an actor
and Arthur Conan Doyle was a writer of stories of Sherlok Holmes.
